Currently, we prioritize supporting St. John’s Anglican Primary School in Placencia, aiming to empower local youth and foster community well-being. Manatee Conservation

Sirenian Bay is dedicated to Belizean manatee conservation, inspired by these gentle giants whose name reflects their likeness to the mythical sirens of the sea. Increased boating in Belize poses threats to manatees, prompting efforts to protect them from injury and death while addressing litter and water pollution. When you visit Sirenian Bay, purchasing a Sirenian Bay Breeze contributes $1 USD from each sale directly to local manatee conservation efforts, supporting research, awareness programs in schools and camps, and aiding in manatee rescue operations.

Belize Bird Rescue

Belize Bird Rescue (BBR) was established in 2004 by Nikki Buxton and Jerry Larder after rescuing two featherless baby parrots, exposing them to the illegal wildlife trade. Since then, BBR has grown into Belize’s only multi-species avian rescue center, addressing avian wildlife poaching and conflict situations while respecting cultural practices and sensitivities. Their mission is supported by donors, sponsors, and visiting avian professionals who contribute expertise in medicine, rehabilitation, and behavior.
