If you’re coming from outside of Belize, you’ll fly into the international airport in Belize City. From there, you have a couple of options to get to Sirenian Bay.
Tropic Air and Maya Island Air both fly regular schedules from Belize City to towns throughout the country. A flight from Belize City to Placencia is approximately 45 minutes on a small, single-prop plane with a one-way fare of about $134/person (round trip $234/person). We are agents with Tropic Air, so if you’d like to fly, we can handle the local reservations for you!
Sirenian Bay also offers ground transportation. Our vans are newer models, clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Depending on the size of your group, one or more of our staff will meet you in Belize City and drive you to Placencia. The drive takes about 3.5 hours – but you’ll see the beauty of Belize along the way. The cost for this option is $300 one way (or $550 round trip) for your entire group.
Of course, you can always rent a car (though we don’t recommend this option if you are not familiar with the roads in Belize), take a taxi or book your own ground transportation.
